USB Interface for SSI or BiSS Bidirectional Encoders

The E201-9B interrogates a BiSS C encoder and allows data to be read by a PC with simple ASCII commands via a USB connection and a virtual COM port.

E201-9B supports BiSS C bidirectional encoders.

  • AksIM-2 & AksIM-4
  • Orbis

The E201-9B interface is suitable for use with BiSS-C bidirectional encoders (Orbis and AksIM only).

There are three software packages that can be used together with E201 interface.

  1. EncoSight allows the users to check the encoder status and position. Within the EncoSight application the users can easily calibrate the encoder after installation and check the function.
  2. E201-9B Demo is for advanced users that require deeper insight into encoder operation and fine tuning, including encoder configuration, direct register access, user memory, write protection and other more advanced functions. It also allows recording of detailed debug data for analysis at RLS.
  3. API interface in a form of a DLL library for users that want to integrate E201-9B into existing system or build their own software. Available on request.
